Removing BeeBond
BeeBond is a permanent mounting tape — removal takes technique, not force.
- Separate the joint. Work a thin blade, wire, or fishing line through the foam core in a slow sawing motion to split the bond. Take your time; the foam is designed to resist exactly this.
- Peel the residue. Roll and peel the remaining foam and adhesive from each surface with your thumb or a plastic scraper.
- Clean up. Wipe remaining residue with isopropyl alcohol or an adhesive remover, then clean the surface normally.
Work carefully on painted and delicate surfaces — the tape is not recommended for delicate finishes, and removal from them can lift the finish. Test any remover on a hidden spot first.
Storing BeeBond
- Store rolls in a cool, dry, dark place — the packaging guidance is simple: room temperature, flat, away from dust.
- Keep rolls in their packaging until use so the edges stay clean.
- Use oldest stock first on production work.
- Shelf life: Black — two years from manufacture; Clear — one year from manufacture, when stored at 10–38 °C and 95% relative humidity or less (optimum 22 °C, 50% RH).
