How much BeeBond do you need?
Pick your color first — the tables differ — then find your surface, multiply the per-pound length by your load weight, and you have the tape length your job needs. (An interactive calculator is coming to this page; the full tables below are the same math it runs on.)
BeeBond Black — approximate tape length per 1 lb load
| Surface | Tape per 1 lb |
|---|---|
| Stainless steel | 3 in |
| Wood | 2.5 in |
| ABS plastic | 1.3 in |
| Painted panel | 0.8 in |
| Glass | 0.5 in |
BeeBond Clear — approximate tape length per 1 lb load
| Surface | Tape per 1 lb |
|---|---|
| Stainless steel | 2 in |
| Wood | 3 in |
| ABS plastic | 1.5 in |
| Painted panel | 1.2 in |
| Glass | 0.75 in |
Worked example
Mounting a 10 lb item on glass with BeeBond Clear: 10 lb × 0.75 in per lb = 7.5 inches of tape. Run it as one continuous strip where the geometry allows, or split it into even strips spread across the bond area.
From length to rolls: divide your total inches by 12 to get feet, then choose the 18 ft roll for single jobs or the 36 ft roll for repeat work — the longer roll costs less per foot.
Values are approximate — based on laboratory shear testing on stainless steel and glass under controlled conditions — and vary with surface condition, preparation, temperature, and load direction. Test on your own surfaces first, and allow 24 hours for full bond strength.
