BeeBond® Clear is a permanent, double-sided acrylic foam mounting tape that replaces screws, nails, and rivets — with no drilling and no surface damage — and disappears on glass and clear materials.
The transparent, very conformable acrylic foam core applies neatly to visible areas, making it the pick for glass construction, architecture, and interiors where the bond line shows. Bond strength builds after application and keeps building as the foam settles into the surface.
Best for
Glass and glazing work, displays, interiors, and clean-look mounting where a black tape line would show. Soft with strong tack, it attaches easily to a wide variety of smooth surfaces, including automotive glass.
Which size?
Both rolls are 1 inch wide. Choose the 18 ft roll for single projects and trial runs; choose the 36 ft roll for production work — the longer roll works out to less per foot and keeps the line moving. Running a bigger job or a repeat application? Ask us about samples and a quote for your volume.
Specs (from the BeeBond technical data sheet)
- Thickness: 1.00 mm acrylic foam core
- 180° peel adhesion (stainless steel): 1.10 kgf/cm after 30 minutes, building to 1.55 kgf/cm after 72 hours
- Dynamic shear: 6.0 kgf/cm²
- Temperature tolerance: 90 °C long-term / 150 °C short-term
- Operating range: −40 °F to 302 °F
- Ideal application temperature: 68–80 °F
Works well on
Glass (recommended), stainless steel and aluminum, marble and sealed stone, ceramic and tile, ABS and rigid plastics, and smooth sealed painted surfaces.
Not suitable for: polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), silicone or rubber materials, textured or dusty walls, wallpaper, rough plaster or chalky paint, or oily, dirty, or uneven surfaces. Low-surface-energy plastics and porous or contaminated surfaces reduce adhesion.
Quick directions
- Clean both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and let them dry completely.
- Cut the length you need using the sizing table below.
- Apply the tape and press firmly and evenly for at least 15 seconds — about 15 psi momentary pressure — working from one end to the other to keep air bubbles out.
- Remove the liner, position the item carefully, and press again.
- Do not stretch the tape more than 4% during application.
- Allow 24 hours for maximum bond strength before loading the joint.
How much tape do I need?
Approximate tape length per 1 lb of load, by surface (1-inch-wide tape, load in shear). Based on laboratory shear testing on stainless steel and glass under controlled conditions:
| Surface |
Tape per 1 lb |
| Stainless steel |
2 in |
| Wood |
3 in |
| ABS plastic |
1.5 in |
| Painted panel |
1.2 in |
| Glass |
0.75 in |
Values are approximate and vary with surface condition, preparation, temperature, and load direction. Always test on your own surfaces before full use — start with a sample if the application is new.
